The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 features an AMOLED screen display of 6.4" (16.26 cm) and runs on Android v8.1 (Oreo). The smartphone features two lenses of 12MP at the back and a camera of 8MP at the front. It can also record a video of 2160p quality at a speed of 30fps. It consists of a 4000mAh Li-ion battery with a very fast charging.

In India, the Galaxy Note 9 will run on the the company's flagship 2.7GHz 64-bit octa-core Exynos 9810 processor. This is the same processor which powers the company's flagship Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones.

The device will be available in 6GB RAM+128GB storage and 8GB RAM+512GB storage variants and the price would be Rs 67,900 ($915.86) to Rs 84,900 ($1,202.15) respectively. The phone feels a bit heavy at 200 grams but after all its a device built to last longer. Samsung has again introduced the S-pen in Galaxy Note 9. The smartphone will be available in four colours - Black (with Black S-Pen), Purple (with Purple S-pen), Copper (with Copper S-Pen) and Ocean Blue (with Yellow S-Pen). Sunlight visibility is excellent in the device and the Infinity Display manages to provide an edge-to-edge immersive feel.
Samsung considers India an important market is conspicuous from the fact that its India launch is taking place 2 days ahead of the global launch. Overall, if we compare Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to the Galaxy Note 8, Note 9 offers better battery life, a slightly compact design and a much better performance.
