Well we believe the PS5 might be sooner than we think as Sony has already started to look for a senior Product manager which fervently the next-generation playstation campaign.

- At playstation we're working at the frontiers of immersive experiences for our users. We're looking for an entrepreneurial product lead to join our intelligence platform group. As part of this hands on position you would work across partners, product and Engineering and contribute into development and growth of playstation intelligence platform. You will own the roadmap for next-gen playstation console.
The playstation CEO John Kodera recently confirmed that they're working on a next-gen console, so this listing shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. It will be interesting to see when Sony will decide to reveal their PS4 successor. The last time they revealed a new console was at the playstation event in February 2013 while the console launched later that year during the Holidays.
The rumors encircling the playstation 5 console are currently in full swing with the Discovery of a Patent also pointing at the backward Compatibilityon the next-gen console. Definitely it will be pretty awesome to see how Sony approaches the design for their upcoming hardware now they're taking user feedback seriously.
