ResetERA user Cengizhan has brought up an interesting hints on the release schedule for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS software in their third year of launch.

According to Cengizhan, Nintendo has cleverly picked similar games released in the Nintendo 3DS’s third year (2013) to be released in the Nintendo Switch’s third year (2019).

Back in 2012, Nintendo was struggling with Nintendo 3DS sales as the system sales horribly and there were little appealing games. Nintendo claimed this was a “momentum problem” and fixed the issue by releasing many appealing 3DS games in 2013. This turned around the 3DS’s fortunes.

We can now see Nintendo employing the same strategy they used for the 3DS in 2013, this time with the Switch.
