Epic Games has dropped a sad news on their latest Fortnite Patch notes , stating that Switch players will no longer be matched with Xbox or PS4 users in cross-play. Meanwhile, Switch players will be only be matched with IOS and Android players.
Why is because the Switch version of Fortnite has faced a number of performance issues, especially compared to its Xbox & PS4 counterparts.
Issues, such as being locked to 30 fps, even sometimes place Switch players at a disadvantage. According to Epic Games, moving Switch Players into the mobile pool will lead to a “better per-game experience” for both.
