- Nintendo Switch Lite Hands On Preview
- Nintendo Switch Lite
As we wait for the official launch of Nintendo Switch Lite coming on September 20, for around £199 compared to the £280 that the original Switch is. Let's take some time and look at the Nintendo Switch Lite. The Switch Lite is pretty much exactly what it appears to be; a slightly shrunken down version of the original model that works only as a handheld console.

The screen size dropped from 6.2 Inches original switch possess to 5.5 Inches, there are also no Joy-Cons, so the controls are no longer detachable.. but hey, Nintendo has added a proper D-pad where the left set of face buttons used to be. Unfortunately the Lite version cannot use the dock of the original model and so does not connect to your TV. It doesn't even have a kickstand so...no table top mode either.

Apart from the D-Pad all of the controls feel exactly the same as the original model, so don't expect any major change there but at least the Nintendo Switch Lite shouldn't suffer from the Joy-Con drift issue. Also know that all of the existing Switch games will work on the Switch Lite and there are none that are exclusive to either model.
GameXplain has shared a video analysis and reacting to their hands demo with the Switch Lite. Take a look at the video above for the full discussion and a look at the system in action. Does the handheld worth it to you?
