- NBA 2K League bans player
The NBA 2K League kicked out one of its players today after discovering violations of the league’s anti-gambling policies.

Basil Rose, also known as 24K Dropoff, had played for Heat Check Gaming, the esports franchise of the NBA’s Miami Heat. A statement from the 2K League said Rose “violated the league’s rules against tipping on NBA 2K League games by providing inside information to an individual who Rose knew was involved in betting on NBA 2K league games.”
The league statement explained its investigation “did not find that Rose attempted to fix or otherwise improperly participate in any NBA 2K League games.”
The social media accounts for both Rose and Heat Check Gaming have said nothing about the matter. Rose’s biography page has already been wiped out from the NBA 2K League website. Rose had been left unprotected by Heat Check Gaming for the expansion draft taking place Sept. 26.
