We all missed the days of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, the memories will live with us forever. The both series has created a Legacy that lives on with the Legacies, which is currently going strong over on The CW.

Legacies stars a host of magical creatures/teens who must balance their studies with supernatural struggles of their own at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. The popular spin-off has successfully retained what makes the franchise so popular while still carving out its own storyline within The Vampire Diaries world, so fans are of course loved to hear more about a potential third season.

Legacies season 3 cast: Who will be back?

Now that The Vampire Diaries and The Originals are gone leaving us with heart broken, i smiles whenever i remembered how I watched TVD & TO with my friends sitting on the couch, with some bottles of beer as we argue to protect our favourite cast whenever they goes wrong... it's really fun you know, anyways let's get back on track. Legacies has become a sort of wayward home for many cast members who originally starred on one or both of these two shows. Assuming that everyone survives until the end of season two, here's who imagine will return to Legacies in season three:

• Aria Shahghasemi as Landon Kirby (The Originals)
• Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman (The Vampire Diaries)
• Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman (The Vampire Diaries)
• Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman (The Vampire Diaries)

Also expect to see some original Legacies cast members return too, including Quincy Fouse as Milton "MG" Greasley and Peyton Alex Smith in the role of Rafael Waithe.

Legacies season 3 release date: When will it air?

While we're still waiting to hear if Legacies has been renewed for a third season, it seems likely that The CW will return to the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted again for at least one more year. If so, then season three will presumably start airing in October 2020, just like the first two seasons did. While it's too early to reveal what will happen in Legacies season three, don't be surprised if some more cast members from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals pop up in future episodes. I mean who won't love to see Hope parents or the Salvatore brothers? The season-two premiere already hinted as much with a reference to the villainous Kai Parker (Chris Wood), who killed Josie Saltzman's (Kaylee Bryant) mother.
After the episode aired, series creator Julie Plec confirmed to TVLine that this was "definitely not the last we've heard of him." "We'll keep laying little Kai Parker Easter eggs, because he is a massive part of the twins' backstory and mythology, which is something we plan on telling stories from for the entire series. While I know we'll never be able to get Chris Wood back for an entire series, it's certainly fun to keep him alive in the hopes that we'll get to see him in small doses over the course of the run of the show."
