Merlin (Welsh: Myrddin) is a legendary figure best known as an enchanter or wizard featured in Arthurian legend and medieval Welsh poetry. The epic series ran on the BBC from 2008 to 2012. It stars Colin Morgan alongside Bradley James, Richard Wilson, Angel Coulby, Katie McGrath, Anthony Head, and many other top British talents.
The series follows the young sorcerer who is destined to become a great one and finds himself as a young servant to Prince Arthur. Why is Merlin leaving Netflix?
The BBC is taking steps to remove the majority of its library from Netflix as contracts apostasy. Co-productions tend to stick around a bit longer but in general, BBC is letting all their current contracts with Netflix to expire. They have a vested interested in Britbox which is where most of these titles end up.
Is Merlin Leaving Netflix In All Region?
Only Netflix in the United States is currently scheduled to lose Merlin at the present time. That’s become the case with a lot of BBC titles over the course of 2019. We’ve seen Luther removed at the beginning of the year, a catalogue of other BBC titles and in December, BBC’s most popular anticipated, will be departing too.

Leaving the Netflix doesn't mean you can't see it anywhere else. You can watch Merlin for free on The Roku Channel and Tubi too.
