The creator of the most anticipated TV Series The Vampire Dairies and Legacies Julie Plec has teamed up with Netflix to unlash this new upcoming political TV series.
A complete left-turn from the mind behind The CW's supernatural drama, as well as its descendants The Originals and Legacies, this project is titled The Girls on the Bus and has been inspired by a chapter in Amy Chozick's memoir Chasing Hillary.
The action follows four female journalists as they cover a variety of flawed presidential candidates, while "finding friendship, love and a scandal that could take down not just the presidency but our entire democracy along the way". Julie Plec and Chozick will work together on writing and executive producing responsibilities for the project.
