  • iPhone 11 Pro & iPhone 11 Pro Max YouTube HDR Video Playback

You can now enjoy HDR Video Playback on your iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max. Pretty awesome right? This takes full advantage of Super Retina XDR display.
Available as a free update straight from the App Store, the YouTube app now finally supports the playback of HDR content on the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max but unfortunately left the iPad Pro behind and the iPhone 11 is not included in the list of supported devices too.

Just open up any video on YouTube that supports HDR and you'll see immediately in the list of available resolutions whether or not you are playing back in high dynamic range. And in case you are wondering, you have to pump up your iPhone's display brightness to maximum for the full HDR effect. It's a highly subjective thing, you know....
Also note this down that, HDR videos are going to consume lot of data while streaming on a cellular network. Until or unless you really have to watch HDR content, me i definitely do some manual adjustments of the video resolution in order to ensure that I don't eat up all my data while appreciating those vivid, real life colors, Although is not must you emulate me but I still recommend that for you.
Before I round up let me write some quick ways to activate yours, so read carefully, the settings is simple and easy anyway now let's go: Launch the App Store, tap on your photo on the top right corner, pull down on the menu, the page will refresh, now tap on the Update button next to YouTube.

If you don't see the Update button then it is highly likely that the app is already updated. Oh I forget to drop the download link,. Keep in mind that the the app does not support HDR on the iPhone 11, don't feel bad if you're using the iPhone 11 the feature might come around sooner or later, for now just the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are supported. So download yours on the Apple Store here.
